    Default Yellow Warbler In Evergreens.

There was a Yellow Warbler nest in this small grouping of evergreens, but much too high to photograph. I got a good look at the male here (and he of me), offering a bit of a sassy pose before heading back up.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/640s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, about 80% FF. A few flecks in the leaves removed via spot removal, a bit more contrast than usual in post to punch up the scene.

My favourite colours together....Yellow birds on a green BG always appeal to me....Perfect DOF, the eye is drawn immediately to the bird and perch...Lovely pose and detail on the bird...The BG colours and details 'fit' perfectly....Good crop.

    Good work.

So nice to see a warbler picture as the summer ends.
Lovely perch, yellows look great. I really like the direct gaze!

Yes, it's a wonderful shot and look back. Love the contrast of green and yellow. If the POF a bit forward (on the front branch)? ... or does it fully capture the head and the head on nature of the bill/eye do a bit of a trick here. I can't tell. Anyhow, I like it.

Love the pose you have captured here. Typical warbler setting as well.
