    Default Northern Hawk Owl

Last Winter in the Ottawa area we had our own Northern Hawk Owl , which I was lucky enough to spend a morning with , yes it's baited , I think the Techs on this shot were F/8.0 @ 1/800 sec , ISO 400 , + 2/3 EC , Taken with a Rebel XT and a borrowed 100-400 from Ted Busby

This one tells the story. I like the way he's slightly hunched over his prey. Was the mouse frozen.....it looks a little funny with the tail sticking out. Nice details, sharpness, and BG.

Very nice image, Wayne! I love the bird, reddish bg, and falling snow. The prey adds interest, but looks a bit funny as Lana mentioned. I wish we could see the birds right eye and that the tail feathers weren't clipped.
