Been back a few times to my local Pier where the Gannets are active again. It was good to finally see the adults, but they don't seem to want to come as close as the juveniles, so I'm waiting for the right opportunity. However, here's another juvenile in flight. I like the wings down pose here. Cheers.
Well focused pin sharp too. I like the sharp head and eye, nothing wrong with sharp wings but purely from a personal viewpoint I kinda like the tips soft so it implies movement.
Thanks Jonathan...I agree as well, but it was quite windy that day and the Gannet was not flying as fast as normal, so it does appear more static in the air. Cheers.
Nice wing position and I like the head tilt.
You have blown the whites on the lower neck- worth seeing if you can salvage them
I would sharpen the eye area a bit more.
The plain blue sky is a bit boring- order up some clouds and softer light!

Thanks Gail and John,
Gail: I did dial down the whites under the neck, but any more would have turned them grey, but will take another look. Yes to the sky...I'll have a word with the mother nature
