    And so to the male Chaffinch after the female posting in the rain, this was shot prior to the rain against a bracken backdrop.

    Cheers Wayne, be great to get back to SA and shoot in some decent light. Just corresponding with an old BPN chum based in Cape Town re R5, and perhaps in the future we may hook up.

    What beauty, stunning capture Steve. So well processed, love everything about it
    LOL Gabriela, not sure it checks all the Avian requirements, but fun to photograph for sure and the lichen is a great indicator on how clean the air is.

    Very nice indeed, I would have preferred a little more background to make it a little wider other than that it looks pretty much ideal.

    Jon do you mean either side as it’s a 10x8, 2x3 is too tall.

    I'd like more space on the right - esp with all the text on the left. But.. .wow.. lovely image. Love the perch and bkg.

    Love the color on that background. Nice lichen encrusted perch as well. Neat looking bird.

    I looked at your site. When's the last time you updated it? Looks like it's from 1998.

    Looking good Steve...The BG colours show the chaffinch at its best...Nice look back pose and a great looking perch....Not so dreich looking on this one
