Another image from the feeders at Madera Canyon. Hung flower on shepherds hook was fortunate he chose it over the feeder. Natural light and BG.

Hi Kurt, very nice indeed, love the wing position and iridescent colouring on the body. I would prune the two elements creeping in on the RH trim.

Overall it does look a tad dark and tonally all of an equal light. An option is to open the exposure up by a third and tweaking the HSL colour sliders, starts to bring the image to life, with some richness and 'layering' of colours and highlights just how gorgeous these subjects are. Just a thought.

I like the pose and the BG, there are some shadows but tough to get rid of them w/o a multi flash setup. killer details

Excellent details, and I like that the hummer's bill is deep inside the flower. Steve's repost is excellent and punches up the image positively. Comp-wise I do find the curved stem of the main flower to be close tot he edge of the frame, but I understand that adding back canvas there (if you have it) may introduce some other awkwardly clipped elements. Highly enjoyable image overall!

Kurt, this is a dynamite capture my friend.

Nicely lit and beautiful execution as it drew from the single dangling flower. Nicely sharp and colorful.

You can see how it can be amped up a little and I too could use a touch more above to show the stem if you had it and didn't mess up the comp too much.

    TFS amigo!
