    Another image from SoCal. this is a juvenile bird, plumage is rusty brown with hints of orange, it will turn bluish grey as the bird matures. blood on the beak from recent meal (dove)


    shot with the A1 and 200-600 ISO-2500 f/6.3 1/3200 sec handheld. processed with C1P

    Killing is with these falcons. You know what is funny I have never seen one of these birds in person.

    Arash, another great look at this subject.

    Feather detail is very nice, even at the tip of the primaries. Great pose and nice choice of comp.

    The location of the black strip in the bkg is slightly unfortunate, so close to the head but that's very minor. Most would love to have a file like this, myself included.

    Sweet dorsal view and your signature IQ. If it were mine (fat chance) I would consider softening the dark band with a low opacity paintbrush.
