I like the top view, overall a bit dark (some blacks are blocked) and head is turned away from which doesn't help. nice BG

And beautiful pixels indeed... Agree with Arash on lifting the EXP. The HA may not be optimum but you have a great view of the face. Just wish the light was reversed, emphasizing the front end. Big kudos on the FF view. TFS

I agree, with more exposure and a better HA would make this look real good....The detail is definitely there...did you get anymore with the birds head a few degrees towards the viewer...

Thanks for all the feedback. Looking at the photo again, I do agree that it looks dark and I should have pulled it during post processing.

The reason that the face is so, so dark as that the bird's head is turned completely away from what little light was available ... Too bad as you were so close and the perch and BKGR are so nice.
