A playful Wild Dog nibbles on a couple of leaves, a manifestation of excitement that cannot be contained. Our protagonist is one of three adults looking after the pups... they have all been waiting for the others to arrive from a hunt and regurgitate some food. Lots of greetings follow as the hunters arrive, everyone makes high pitched noises, a sort of chattering that is somewhat birdlike, really difficult to describe. You've got to hear it

Like I said before, there is very little aggression within a pack and most issues are resolved quickly and without any serious injuries. Love watching wild dogs, they are so interesting and so amazing. Sadly, this is one of the most endangered carnivores in Africa.

    Techs:

    Nikon D4
    Nikon 300mm F2.8
    ISO 1250
    F5.6
    1/2000s

Processed in LR and PSCC. Hope you enjoy the rest of the week, friends.

Hi Gabriela, nice to see another WD. Shame about the plant foliage over the mouth, is it in mid yawn? Yes the chattering is cool, but boy, do they smell.... Any more content above, it's a wee bit tight I feel, colour looks good but will have another look when I back.

    Great to see you posting.

    Thank you very much Steve

Do the leaves bother you, let me know. I quite liked the fact that he was nibbling on them, he did not actually eat any but just grabbed the tips and then let go, I gather he was so excited to see the Alpha male and female arrive, as well as the rest of the pack. I suppose he was hungry too?

Yes the WD smell but not as bad as hyenas Nothing I can do about the frame being tight, LOL, I agree with you though. Colour wise let me know, I could go cooler but that's how I remember the scene, happy to share the RAW anytime.

PS. More images in the pipeline Great to be back

I like it Gabriela well detailed and processed. I have a minor consideration - is it a little yellow? Perhaps as you mentioned a little cooler may do the trick.

Personally I might go a bit richer Gabriela?

Thank you so much Jon and Steve,

Jon, I tried to go cooler but did not work for me, you are welcome to do an RP if you have the time.

Steve, when you say 'richer' you mean the frame overall?

Gabriela, here's an alternative for consideration, I have altered the colour balance slightly, there is a vignette which you may not like, I have increased saturation slightly on the wild dog and brought the highlights on the dog down a little.

Looks good Jon, I like it. Thank you so much. Don't mind the subtle vignette

Gabriela, did you also have time to do a RP, be good as a comparison.

I like the repost but honestly also like the OP. The leaves are part of the story and do not bother me at all. Love those eyes... TFS
