    Dear Steve,

Lovely pose from this majestic Nyala bull. Image well composed with enough space around the subject. Those greys and browns on the Nyala's coat are spot-on and I like the visible tips of those spiral horns. Very nice detail
Subject well separated from the BG. As always, lovely PP work... as expected

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

I like it and I suspect you thought about colours and depth of colour but to me the image and Nyala in particular looks a little pale/washed out. Gabriela sees these far more frequently than I ever will so I expect I am going to shoot myself in the foot! I made an alternative and tried to post it but I am losing patience in uploading, I have waited 5 min so far so I am calling it a day.

Aaaaargh Jon, looks like it's not just me battling with the Internet connection! So sorry my friend...Regarding Steve's Nyala, I thought about the colours too. But knowing to some extent his thinking when he processes - as well as looking at techs - I assumed the light was quite flat at the time. So yes I think his rendition of the species is accurate, given the conditions.

A beautiful and stately subject in natural environment. Love the framing in this canvas. TFS
