A new species for the garden, a male Bullfinch, they are so stunning compare to the females sadly. Nice to get one clean shot, as the majority all have seed around their bill!!!!

I like the mood of the overcast conditions. Good perch, BG. I basically like everything here, except I would have loved a degree or two more head turn our way. Can't always have it all!

Really love this canvas overall. The details and the tonality sooo spot on (as usual). TFS

A fine shot Steve, pleasing perch and colours look good. Tones - especially dark, have been handled very well.

Thanks folks, yes Dan a slight head turn, but I’ll take this every day.

David, it all comes back to the Raw, PP is just a learning aspect, but with Canon & Sony’s developments every capture should be spot on, sadly Nikon have a long way to go.

Cheers Jon, posting on the fly. You know how these subjects vary, some of the pink/red can be stronger, or less, with a slight mottling. I bet some folk will look at the plumage and feel it’s lifted with the greys. Hope all is going well at your end, now with your lens back.

Lovely image, gorgeous colors on the bird. Background about as perfect as it gets, as is the perch. Thank you for sharing, Steve.

Man, this bird has a short bill or small head. A nice frame overall.
