    Default Blue Grosbeak in Flight

Hi all, first post here. Artie suggested I join and I hemmed and hawed. I've been shooting with the R5 and 600III recently. Since transitioning from the 1DX3 to the R5, the world of passerines in flight has opened up. Very exciting times to get some fun flight shots.

    R5/600III
    f/5.6
    1/5000
    ISO 800
    Audio used
    5/30/21
    Atterbury FWA, Johnson County, Indiana

Some minimal adjustments made in lightroom and a small white blob cloned out in front of the bird.

    Thanks for looking!

Ryan, great to see you here! I think you will bring some great shots to the fold.

Gorgeous male you got here, one of my favorite species. Fully splayed from the dorsal perspective is awesome and this is a great look at a sharp head on a small, Passerine/songbird.

Sweet and smooth, green bkg. Well done!

Not shabby :) Killer pose and sharpness and BKGR. Bad luck on the damaged 7th primary of the far wing.

    with love, artie

sweet frame, love the pose and the BG, can't do much about the missing primary but that's nature. I see some rolling shutter artifact in the primaries but they don't distract from the shot
