Lazuli Bunting male in some nicer morning light vs the previous which was before the sun eclipsed the mountain.

Absolute stunner of a bird and image. Not a nit to pick here. Is this a setup perch or natural? I’m only curious. Either way it’s exceptional to my eye.

Wonderful! Great light and outstanding colors.
A pity the bird is leaning slightly away giving the impression of looking up at it.

Thank you everyone, glad you enjoyed it.

Colin, it actually isn't pointed away IMO. The feathers in the tail are as sharp as the eye. It was, however just about 3 feet or so above my eye level on a bit of a hill.

Hi Brian ... really nice overall and the subject is really a stunning looking bird .
    Love the calling pose .
The image does look better in terms of technical output , compared to the previous shot of that species . Details better rendered , sharpness very nice and the tones are looking more balanced .... specially in the mid to dark range .
    Very well done amigo !!!!

A real SUMP .... arriving in the song birds

Next time put the speaker lower :) This is obviously a superb image. Me-thinks I would like it a little bit better if it were a little bit darker overall as it looks very bright, almost flashed.

Always thankful for your kind words Professor! A work in progress indeed but fun to make an image one is not only comfortable presenting, but also fond of :-)

Hey Artie, appreciate it. I could see a version with a couple points less luminosity. No flash of course, just nice light.

Gorgeous bird. The green and blue go great together.
