Default Two Way Traffic - Winners and Losers

I know the IQ isn't what it "should be" - but until I get something better this is what I got. Rare overcast days (mornings esp. here is northern CA so find myself fighting the ISO/Ap/SS song and dance. Can't tell if eye is just extra soft or if he "dropped the shields". Anyhow, been working to great these slow pokes and it's fun in any case. Will post at least one more later.

This is incredible! Sure the iq is not top notch but this is almost an impossible image to get.

You did not say but at iso400? (typo) and a 50mp camera this must be a 1% crop?
It is pretty cool getting a bug with a swallow and it seems like it was sharp so why is there so much NR applied to all of it?

That was a typo. ISO was 4000 and it is a big crop. Also, the AM lighting here now is overcast and very defused. It seems to help in some areas but hurts some others. Anyhow I went back this PM and the light was GREAT. So eager to process these. Stay tuned! :)

Jay, the timing is nuts here man. Well done on that, really great.

Agree on the IQ, it's just not there but the rest of the canvas has so many things going for it. Yeah, the eye area is really soft and it appears to me to be out of the focal plane. Ideally one without the nictitating membrane would be sweet.

Keep working man, you're putting that A1 through the paces :-)

super pose, super BG, does have a painterly look. not likely to be from crop or NR, looks like some motion blur despite the fast SS to my eye at least

edit: I hear this was 1200mm close to the edge of the frame, it was a miracle you even got it in the frame!

Hi Jay ... wow for just capturing the subject and the insect is taking this to the sky ....

But this only one side of the medal .... the other side is the output , and the output is sadly not that good , IMHO . So for me this would be no keeper as some folks her like to say ....
