Default (Maybe) last Kestrel for awhile.

They've flown the coop and not much more to process. I love the smooth bkg, but also feel it almost makes it look like a cut and paste (and I don't like THAT aspect of things). But, so happy to have seen the young one grow up.

Super shot Jay, I agree I am not keen on the cut and paste look that seems to be so popular these days but in this case it doesn't look cut and paste because the wing tips are soft. The all important head and feet are pin sharp.
Similarly, I have images of various terns in flight and those with soft wing tips are much more appealing to me than the ones in which everything is sharp.

Can't comment on the color balance but the pose is wonderful as is the IQ.

killer frame, I can see the air breaks engaged. the small fuzz on the head is priceless too. this is an example of a great flight frame, great wing position tack sharp with excellent detail, I like the clean BG's, I don't care what others call them (as long as they are real and not fabricated). I like BG's with tasteful elements of habitat too, but neither one is better than the other in my book.
Now you have the best gear in the world by far for this kind of shot, but you also did a great job

    TFS
