    Default Dip-Feeding Snowy Egret

Captured this at Ding Darling on Monday. Was one of those days when Ding was "on". Lots of nice images from that trip, and the water was actually nice too! Anyway, the water made a really nice BG for the Snowys this time, so I took advantage of it. Sure was nice learning Artie's techniques for exposing white birds in that spring IPT! It has paid back many times over for me already.

    Canon 1DsMII, 600mm f/4L, f/4, 1/8000, -2/3 EV, ISO 200, off tripod, 8:30 AM with sun already getting intense.

Rats - Busted by the sharpening police again

Will give it a go and repost tomorrow. This one actually was sharpened a bit, but VERY little. Just enough to add a bit of pop to the eye. Will select the bird and play a bit.

Bob, beautiful graceful pose, nicely exposed, and pretty color. I think there are some spots in the bg that could be evened out to make this even nicer.

Looks good Maxis! Now it just has to survive the "halo" police - a.k.a. - Axel .....LOL

I'm convinced you two have a conspiracy going. Perpetual critique! - LOL.

Seriously - I appreciate you guys. You MAKE us get better!

No halo on this one but Axel gets it right almost everytime. BTW, we have no conspiracy going, we just have two different brains.... :)

I appreciate all your images and participation.... See you soon! :)

Love the BG, Bob. I agree with Grace - this image just speaks to me of gracefulness. Maxis, the repost is awesome. When I saw the original file, the first thing I said to myself was "sharpen," and I am glad that you took the time, Maxis, to fine-tune this one. Congrats, Bob, on a great image. Wish I could hit Ding on a good day - my time there is limited to the week or 10 days I spend on Captiva each year in April. All was very quiet when I was there this year : (
