    Hi folks ... this might be a " marmite " shot .
Since I took the images back in 2019 I had them in mind .... tried different times to process , all deleted , never felt close to something good .
Still not really satisfied .... cannot say why !!!
But thought it would be time to release one version for your critique .
Image taken in Etosha in some harsh light

    Canon EOS 1Dx
    EF 500 IS L II + 1,4 TC
    Beanbag
    Full frame

    F 11 ; Iso 1600 ; 1/2000 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2021 ; very slightly cropped and added the same amount back on the other side ... so basically as shot . With hindsight I might have shot this with the plain 500 for more options and with a wider aperture . The green color is from the " murky" water .... at the waterhole

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

Well it is certainly different. Processing very good, the base of the window, i.e. flat rocks spoil it for me.

    Hello Andreas,

I quite like the textures here and harshness of light.

Just a thought...perhaps if the ele 'framing' the image was darker it would have helped highlight the subject in the centre a wee bit more?

Thank you for sharing and I hope you have a great rest of the week,

    Kind regards
