    Default European Starling.

Taken this morning at same place to shoot Ospreys and Martins.
Starlings are the fastest flying birds I can take images of I think.
    Faster than Martins and swallows.
I wish it was headed a bit more toward me but getting the wings down
    was more important for me..

Dan I like that you caught this one in a downward angle. Gives the impression of going after something. Love the dark green background and wing position all make for a great shot, good colors. TFS

I don't think I've ever seen a flight shot of a European Starling, so big props for that. Really looks speedy in this pose. I'm digging the background and composition. Head angle is so-so, and the feather detail
is passable. f/8 and ISO 2800 weren't ideal but that's what the 1.4 gets you on that lens.

Thanks Dorian, the reason you haven't seen them is flight is they are as hard as it gets...
Try them sometime. They are the fastest birds in flight you can get. They hang with swallows and Martins
and are faster than either one.

Nice wing down position, great job getting this in frame, yes they are fast. I also like the down angle. I do wish the bird wasn't pointed away from us, but just getting this is nice.

The down wing stroke is nice. I do like the framing and the background.
