    Osprey in flight this morning.
    Taken at 5:46 am, sunrise is 5:21...
    Sun directly behind me at this Osprey nest.
    This is as good as it gets where I live.
    D500, 700mm, (500ps w/ 1.4), f8, 1/2500, iso1250
    PP in Capture one, Affinity photo.
    Is sharpening, etc, better on this, I think I have processing down without Photoshop..
    Get off the Adobe train...

    Dan I have never had a good view of an osprey yet alone got a decent photograph, having said that I think it's a fine capture but I am a little unsure over the processing. Have you applied NR, it looks a little smooth to me....... but that may be because I haven't photographed one!

    Thanks Jon, I never use NR on the birds.... the BG is smooth because it is a half mile away...

    Nice stick for the nest. Nice light. There is a shadow under the primaries of the near wing that would have been eliminated had the wing been fully raised. Sharp and nicely processed. I am not a fan of the far shoreline cutting though the subject. An all-green BKGR would have been mega.

    Another nice osprey frame. Bird looks very concentrated.
