    These guys look so good when photographing tight portraits as verticals! A bit of careful belly-crawling in the sand and voilą, in position to create just such images.

    Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/500s., f/9, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, FF.

    You made a plain bird very attractive I have to say, the exposure is superb. The dark feathers have such nice detail.

    Hi Dan, excellent exposure throughout, and with a perfect HA. Good choice of aperture to have everything in the DOF.

    Very simple Daniel. Displays your authentic tone and textures - I feel like I could pick out your frames without even seeing a name and that's awesome!

    Details are wonderful and love the tiny droplets down the neck and chest. Interesting separation in the feathers near the white streak down from the cheek.

    I could envision a version cropped just a touch more from the URC. But, I admit these portrait crops are not my strong suit...

    Nicely presented as always.
