Looks a bit more wet than worn out. Lovely image with the perfect woodpecker composition. On a second look, you might want to tone down the light sunlit bark on the left frame edge.

Lovely detail. Like the roughness of the tree as well... matches his royal wetness. Wish the bkg were a little toned down but that's probably just me. TFS. Very nice.

Good capture to my eye the image appears a little heavy/saturated or contrasted, I can't help but feel there is much more detail to be seen within the plumage.
I appreciate you guys prefer more saturation and contrast than I do so by all means disregard! But it might just be worth having a look.

Hi Dan, lovely image. I add my second to all the positive comments, as Artie wrote " the perfect woodpecker composition". Thank you for sharing.

Great shot, perfect post and the background really works well here. It looks just a tad crunchy/over-sharpened to my eye but that's really the only suggestion I have. TFS

Hi Dan, excellent pose, and you have nailed the sharpness spot on. Love the detail and overall colours too.

Looks great. Nice to see the kickstand tail. Classic woodpecker frame.
