Joe, very creative and I salute that in the highest my friend.

Beautiful canvas with the beautiful, smooth transitions across. So lovely.

Subject looks good, but I see a slight halo above the beak... perhaps from masking?

Only other suggestion would be to keep everything from the top down in its current location, but go to a more traditional 2x3 and cut the bottom section, reducing that final light blue strip a bit.

    Well shown, nice work Joe!

Hi Joe .... very nice concept shot .
I do like the very " off central " placement of the subject .
In terms of color and contrast I think it is a tiny bit too strong ... way to strong to be honest , IMHO.
The halo that Brian is referring to ... is not masking related IMO . The halo is all round the bird .. albeit being narrower in some other parts .

Cool shot ... which I personally would just edit with more finesse , rather than hammering it with color and contrast , just my 2 cents .

This is very nice small bird in the frame image... the bird looks great and the colors are excellent.

Thanks everyone for viewing and commenting, much appreciated. Here is a edit, I removed the halo around the bill and eliminated the contrast I had added. I think it addresses the suggestions made by Brian and Andreas. Thanks again...

Hi Joe ... looks better to me

Just for my interest , which plugin or filter is creating that halo and high contrast ??? As the next posting does have the same haloing ....

    Cheers Andreas

Good being right on sun angle. I like this one a lot better than the Sanderling. Love the image design and the strips of blue and brown. It needs a bit more off the bottom to get to Sump Scores' suggested crop. The BLUEs look a bit too electric to me.

Of course I am right on the light angle, some guy name Artie Morris taught me that. The blues became more saturated when posted, not sure why. I will check out Sump Score's crop. Thank you for commenting, Artie.
