Another grab shot from today's evening stroll. Don't have many files from this tiny bird flying. this wasn't a nest or a feeder just a random bird zipping through.... wish the sun was behind my neck, but hey it's a swallow...

A1 and 200-600 zoom f/6.3 1/4000 sec ISO-1600 handheld. processed with C1P. Hope you like it

The gradient in the background is great. I like the head on approach. Read an article about birds with over 1 Billion in their population worldwide. Barn swallow made the list.

Sweet BKGR. Spectacularly sharp. The bird looks as if it flew threw a spider web, or got crapped on by another bird; I'd lose the white squiggles on the breast and the far wing.

Aren't you glad that you replaced your clunker 200-600?

Hey Artie, yes it probably grabbed something from the nearby cattails. I am quite happy with this 2nd 2-6 which I have been using for a year now. amazing performance for $2000. I do wish Sony came out with something between this and my 600 though. something a bit faster and super light for 5-6K would be great to have as well

    cheers
