    Default Wilson's Snipe close-up

Another skittish species which is very difficult to approach. This one landed on a fencepost and allowed approach while I played a bit of audio.

I went headshot because the post was hella ugly. Mild shadow on breast isn't ideal, but I think the curious head turn and lit face make up for it.

Your birding skills really pay off getting these images.
Detail for a close shot on a species like this is excellent field craft even with audio.
I would desaturate the breast, bring it back to white.

Love the "look" on this guys face. Kind of like, "Whoa.. you caught me!". Nice details as usual. TFS.

Dorian, killer detail and sweet dof. f8 was a great selection here.

Digging the pale green backdrop and I like the comp. Funky how lop-sided the head/beak transition on Wilson's are...

I do feel like the whites on the underside are fringing on more gray. Not sure why though I get they are opposing the light source. May be worth a look.

    Super frame man.
