    Default b-52

It was sunrise and the only sound, other than the call of birds was the flapping of this swan's wings...I wish I could photograph that sound. I have never seen a bird this size in flight and it reminded me of a b-52 I once saw literally "lumbering" across the sky. I think I underexposed it. Too bad.

    Hi Carole,
I like this capture. I like the out of focus birds in the background and the details in the wings of your main subject. The whites are in check; not blown out. good show...:D

Great job on the lighting and the whites. Detail is a little lost in the eye but that's just one minor nit.
    The bg is great.

    Nicely done.

I'm for a panoramic view-large crop at the bottom, cutting the reflection in half, crop at top almost to heads of the cormorants. This places more emphasis on the bird that seems to be somewhat lost in a lot of dead space. The bird's position needs to be more to the left, giving it more space to"fly into". just my opinion~onlybill

No fair! Harold already said my exact feedback.:D I like it, some off the bottom and I always laugh when I see cormys like that, they sorta look like a garden of snakes coming up out of the water.

Love the flying swan! I guess I am voting against the flow on the cropping. lol Just due to my personal preference for swans over cormys, I would do the pano crop without them, focusing on the flying swan. If the image holds up to that much cropping.
