    Some nice action on what looks a dreary day. Exposure looks good, but it's hard to connect with the subject with him looking down and away from us. The fish is a nice addition though.

    I would rotate the CW a few degrees to level the reflection on the water. Might also think about some Noise Reduction on the BG, but that's secondary to the head angle which you can't fix.

    Good points by Dorian. I do feel that the subjects are usually more engaging if the head is turned at least a bit towards us, but some situations like this one, where there is action , or a strong point of interest, can still be effective images. Def. need to level the image .

    Head angle and horizon level are definitely the two main issues here. You could also try to lift the shadows on the face - but careful as noise will start creeping in rather quickly if not careful with files form the 7DII. The splashing action is fun - but maybe not so much for the fish though!

    All excellent advice above. Without much sun, moving well to your left (if possible) would have helped by getting you more square to the bird.
