    Default LEO ... Youngster I

Hi folks ... found finally out , that these LEO´s are nesting in my neighbors backyard
Trying to check every day ... for possible photo options .
Can here them calling very night and the youngsters ( five of them ) seem to move around quite far from the nesting site .
Hopefully get some options in the next weeks ...

    F 5,6 ; Iso 500 ; 1/1250 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2021 ; a lot of twig removal action from my side ... way more than I would normally do . Cropped to 75 % of FF .
Not a lover of that OOF branch .... but no chance to avoid that or to remove it in post

Thanx for looking and leaving a comment to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

I like the setting Andreas, but the FG OOF branch is a tad distracting for me, you need a taller ladder. I think adding the 1.4x will offer a better option and avoid the cropping factor. Personally I would have gone to ISO800 as a base, just for some more SS, even 1600 with no issue... and noise if you are perched precariously.

Just be mindful of the parents and your proximity, you don't want to fall into Eric Hoskins footsteps!!!

Excellent view and eye contact, but that branch in front is really tough. I think in-focus the pine cones to the right of the bird are really cool.

I like the details on this young owl. The branch is front is unfortunate but I'll definitely keep this any time if this were mine.

love the owl and the environment even with the bright gaps in the BG, very pretty. you want to go up there and cut that branch what a bummer!

Thanks folks for your comments much appreciated .
I am with you about the OOF branch .... no question , but I shoot regardless of that branch and like the outcome as most of you .

Steve - standing on that ladder is already " critical " in terms of stability and actually going higher almost impossible due to the location .... and I am thankfully to my neighbor , as he is letting me hang around on his property .
The Owls seem to be quite " stress resistant "..... as it is quite busy in that backyard , machinery running , dogs running around and people who live there .

    Cheers Andreas
