    Default too close?

This image is a grab shot from an evening stroll. I heard the killdeer call and snapped a burst as it flew past me. The bird was so close most of the near wing is outside of DOF. It was so fast I did not have time to think and zoom back the lens a bit to get the near wing inside DOF but I like the calling posing and the BG. I hope you like it

A1 and 200-600 at 600mm f/6.3 1/4000 sec ISO-4000. handheld. processed with C1P. Full frame image with crop from the back and a bit canvas added to the front for composition. BEA active and locked on the eye.

Fantastic Arash love the colors and the details. I like big in the frame. Excellent and perfect wing. TFS

Fantastic sharp BIF with great wing position.
The whites are very greyed out,

Wonderful wing position, and I agree I like the calling pose and BG. Many is the time I've forgotten to use the zoom on a grab shot, even if I had more than a split-second to think of it.

Cool pose, whites on wings look good, whites on head look dirty from dirt...
I think the brown feathers have a slight green tint..

Excellent action capture, especially with the calling pose. Details are very good for ISO 4000. DOF on near wing is a non-issue. I find the tri-tone BG a bit much, but others are going to love it. It's all personal taste and luck of the draw where the bird flies, right?

Another classic Arash. I'm fine with the tri-colour BG. Colours look good to me...can't see any green tint on the brown feathers on my monitor. The head area does look over sharpened to me, but I know you've responded before in similar instances, so maybe it's just me. Grab shot? Wish I could get something that good!

I agree with you, I wish the green band wasn't there but at least it's green.

Looks great to me Arash, the colours look super and the wing may not be in perfect focus but the position is ideal..... I like the background, monotonous bland backgrounds and looking very cliched to me ( maybe just a grumpy old man now!).

My favorite part is the gradient in the background. Nice pose and framing.
