    Nikon 500mm F/5.6 VR AF-S ED PF + Nikon 1.4 III Teleconverter, camera and lens supported by a Oben carbon fiber monopod with a Wimberley MonoGimbal head
    1/3200 F/8 Matrix Metering EV 0 ISO 900 Auto 1sd WB, image captured at 700mm (1050mm 35mm Equivalent)

    Well captured Joe....the IQ grabbed my eye, as soon as I opened it....Great pose and HA...and yes the penguin pose..BG looks good as does the perch, which personally I would clone out the white...and maybe a wee bit more below if you have the canvas...

    I like the title. This would have made a nice vertical. I know easy to say after the fact. Nice gradients in the background. Detail on the bird looks great.

    Beautiful view to this species! We often take these for granted since they're so common, but people would lose their **** for this bird if it was rarer. IG is excellent, and the penguin pose really adds interest.
    Perfect head angle and eye contact. Agree a vertical would look great if you have the canvas. Love how our eye goes right to that yellow beak!

    lovely shot Joe, nice HA, BG details what else. In a perfect world the wings would be stretched open. yes to vertical and would also clean up the poop
