    Default Gannet close fly by

I was lucky recently when this Gannet flew by me very close, but I often think that I need a zoom lens, as the wings often get clipped. Thought I'd try a wide type pano crop, which I like here. Processed in ACR and PS. I did add some canvas to the LHS only. Would have liked a slightly more heads turn to me. Cheers.

Pretty cool image Paul.....I would try adding even more to the LHS and going tighter on RHS...The brightness under the wing draws my eye ...Love the detail on the head and yes to wee bit better HA.

I like it. The pano crop works very well. Nice and sharp with good detail.

Love that soft blue BG, Paul. Head angle and feather detail are really nice, and I agree with William's suggestion of shifting the crop to the left. He certainly needs more room into which to fly.

cool flight close up, I think the pano crop works given the long neck and how the blue in the BG is following the neck outline. I only wish you had a stronger eye contact. The HA is good but the eye ball is a bit angled forward ans away from the lens
