    Hi Wayne, I like the format and the diagonal of the land and the fact you get the bird in the blue giving separation. Two things you can improve on is opening up the shadows to gain more detail and loose the 'lump' in the diagonal of the land. Sadly for me, focus is towards the middle/rear of the bird and the neck and head is soft, no sharpening will help here. You might want to try also with BIF, switch IS off, and if you can't gain focus on the eye, perhaps swop to another AF selection point????

    Great capture.....The bird looks a wee bit contrasty to me....and yes the head is not as sharp the body..

    Hi Wayne it's a pretty bird but the image doesn't quite work for me, the angle is steep, bird already passed you and doesn't have a good wing position. it was tough with the light coming from the side too
