I took this image tip of a peninsula of a lake. I heard the bird calling from across the water. On a whim I suck a log that fishermen had been sitting on, upright in the water. I wasn't expecting much so I primarily setup expecting
the bird to land in a nearby tree. I employed some audio and the bird immediately flew over and.....landed on the log. I should have been farther away. About the only thing I could get in focus was the head. It was hopping
around and I clipped the rear of the bird in this image but it has pretty good detail in the yellows..at least for the D500....so we're calling it a portrait. It was getting a little late in the morning but was overcast enough as not
to be too harsh of light. This species is pretty common in my area. I've found 11 locations this year already.

Well nice job on execution Jack! Always great when they respond and oblige to the audio.
Superb details throughout the yellows and the eye is fantastic. Feel like I never get the head angle thing quite right but this one feels like it is maybe pointed away a little from my view.
Wonder how it might present with a touch more off of the URC? Otherwise, might consider cloning that bright spot between the feet.
