This is another frame I captured last week of the SEO....Same bird, with a different flight pose and BG....Artie suggested on the last frame that it would look better if the bird was surrounded by the purple heathers and not intersecting with the grasses below...Luckily, I had one....HH...ACR, Topaz DN and PS2021.

First one was good - this one is better! You've already alluded to the reasons why!

    Hey Will,

This one is better but only 100% better. Both the near-underwing and the dorsal surface of the far wing are fabulous. And for me the placement in the frame is perfect on this one.

Heck yeah Will. Personally, this one steps it up a little from the previous, which was also awesome!

You made some great adjustments here, not limited to the crop. Just great my friend.

PS - only small thing I could offer would be to maybe dodge or tone down slightly the feathers near the beak on the opposing side right at the edge of the beak. Sounds petty I know, but they grabbed my eye a bit so could be worth a look :-)

Hi Will. This is a stunner! Love the flight pose and vegetation. I've yet to photograph an owl in flight...only seen a few in a tree (Powerful owl, Southern Boobook and Tawny Frogmouth) One day!
