I was hoping for some warblers in these beautiful trees, but I came a across a migrating flock a couple of dozen White-crowned Sparrows foraging in them instead. As this is my favorite species of sparrow, I was more than happy, and they filled the void quite nicely thank you. You can see some of the flower tops damaged from the sparrows actually picking off the petals to eat (plus some evidence on the bill). There were so many of the sparrows, and down low, that all was needed was to wait for them to perch in good spots.
