    Hi Andreas, love the low POV, the colours and the details. The rock on the upper right corner is a bit dominating and draws my eye away from the subject. I like the OOF marmot.

    Have to agree with Sanjeev here Andreas, perhaps tonally darkening the LH Marmot & FG may add the balance to draw the eye back and to expand on the layering? Would suggest you remove the two OOF bits of moss on the rock, the sharper one stays in.

    Super details in the principal marmot holds my interest so I don't really dwell on the rock, I like it as it is.

    Thanks folks for your comments and suggestions , much appreciated .

    The rock on RHS is a bit unfortunate ... I know ... I already toned him down a lot .
    I am ok with the overall tones in the subjects and fore/background ... but for sure there are options for more tonal maneuvers
