Beautiful image super processing, I think it looks great, I wonder if the overall brightness was reduced just a little if plumage detail would become even better shown.

Very nice image Andreas!I think the whites look spot on and even with the white BG, the bird still stands out nicely. Great job!

I could stare at this all day! The eye/eyebrow is mesmerizing to me, and i really like the BG, sharp, well exposed. TFS

Andreas, a fantastic portrait. So peaceful and easy on the eyes!

Superb detail, as usual for you, and I love the contrast around the eye. Even love the tiny feather on the beak.

Surely the colors in the beak are a good representation as I don't take you as someone who would under play the colors but I would love to know what adding a touch more color sat to those rich oranges and pinks could do to the frame.

The only minor nit for me is the darker black areas coming through in the background below the beak and behind the head. I believe they are shadows from other birds perhaps (or rocks?) but it might be worth taking a shot at selectively dodging those just a touch (or insert your method of choice).

Thank you Andreas, your images are a pleasure to view!

Thanks folks for your kind comments , much appreciated .

Brian ... i see where you coming from with your thoughts about the darkish areas in the BG , these are OOF birds /rocks / earth and grassy patches . I already lightened the dark ones .... would not go further with them . For sure one can do so .... but I am ok with them . Regarding the beak colors .... they look natural as posted , but for sure can be pushed to a degree . Feel free to show what you think ... I am ok with an RP from your side . Personally I would use the channel mixer move I showed you ....

    Cheers Andreas

Love the framing and the pose. The background makes this one for me.
