Hi folks ..... just a simple clean image of this species .
I would have like to go lower , but it was not possible due to the location .
I am 50/50 on the " choppy " water ... but did want to play any tonal tricks to even things out , so I left it original .
    Hope you like it

    Canon EOS 1Dx
    EF 500 IS L + 1,4 TC
    Tripod

    F 8; Iso 1000 ; 1/2000 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2021 ; tiny bit off canvas added to top and LHS

Thanks for looking and leaving a comment

    Cheers Andreas

Did or did not want to ... Image is lovely -- love the framing with the whole reflection. I'd have liked a bit of nice of a head turn.

Thanks folks for your comments , much appreciated .

Artie - you found a typo .... it should be : did not want to play any tonal tricks . Thanks for the pointer . And I am with you about a slight head turn ....

I have the same two "wishes" as Ann, but excellent IQ, colours, processing. Choppy water looks good to me as well.

Detail on the bird looks great. I don't mind the choppy water. Nice framing and pose. The water drops on the back are another bonus.

Subject is processed beautifully Andreas. Sweet light and colors pop.

The wake does not bother me, fwiw. I like that the head positioned itself nicely between the darker areas of the wake.

I, too could see a version with the subject slightly more right in the frame.

    TFS!

Thanks folks ... for your comments and suggestions , much appreciated .
After reading your thoughts ... I can also see the subject a bit more to the right in the frame . Sadly I am somehow limited ... as this is basically full frame and I do not want to add more artificial parts on the left hand side .

    Cheers Andreas
