I quite like the framing Kevin, but it's a shame there isn't any detail in the darks at the rear. I would darken the FG, overall it's too even I feel, it needs a little more tonal interest IMHO.

Kevin, the water makes this one sweet for sure.

Nice sharp look at the handsome fella. You got low enough and I like the comp. Dark rump feathers noted but those are tough sometimes.

As a personal matter, I might dodge or perhaps clone the darker lower reflection as it is separated from the rest and draws my eyes just a bit. Also, the covert feathers near the shoulder have an interesting sort of jagged edge to them, is that in the raw or maybe a byproduct of denoise?

Very pleasing canvas my friend, thank you for sharing!

I agree with points made about the black tail feathers and yes they’re tough. I too like the water in this one and the simple comp.

Beautiful watercolors. I for one am not bothered by the lack of details in the black.
I like the colors in the water.

This is as good as it gets. The color of the water is sublime and the detail on the drake's side is superb. This is an elegant image of an elegant bird.

Came back for another view Kevin, so lovely, I love the water and sky color to contrast against the gadwall which is sharp and superb!

The drake looks great in that golden water. Framing is perfect.
