    Default Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus)

I had just been photographing birds and this little chap came into view, he was initially resting, I didn't have time to change camera settings, (I decided not to go for portrait as there was a chance I would loose focus and not get a shot at all) as soon as I focused he came running right up to me, when he was about 1 meter in front of me he recognised me and ran off. I reckon I was quite lucky to have gotten the image especially considering the camera was set to AI Bird.
Poor little guy has a real problem with his right eye, I would not be surprised if it was myxomatosis.

Hy John, I like the way you captured the rabbit, with the front feet raised, preparing to jump. I also like the green FG and BG, gives the image a pleasing look. Maybe you could try and remove to the dandelions in FG, they are a bit disstracting, since almost all of the FG and BG is unoform green. sad about the eye, I just googled up myxomatosis.

You did well with it head on, but overall I feel it appears a bit flat. Looks like some heat haze has also come into play? Nice to have some space around the subject, especially at the foot.

Jon, just brought up the exposure & added some saturation, getting too old for complicated stuff, that’s all it needed IMHO.

Thanks Steve, I went back to the image, a simple tweak, as you said, made all the difference.

Glad to know Jon, as I keep saying - keep it simple and the image will shine, clutter it with the kitchen sink and you'll throw all that hard work away. I must tell Pam how to disable the 'Fiddling' slider on your computer!

I like the pose here and the composition. Steve's RP is spot on, good details and sweet BG.

Awesome running pose, super cute, and very well framed.

    I also like Steve's RP.
