    Default Blue Palette

Male Mountain Bluebird, shortly after sunrise. The bluebird arrived and perched on an old yucca stalk as I was getting setup, thus the required crop from Horiz to vertical in post processing. This particular bird has a larger section of black markings on the wings than I am used too seeing.

    Nikon D500 500mm f/4
    1/500 sec f5.6 ISO 200.
ACR and PS used for post processing, crop from Horiz to Vert.

Really like this Vaughn. Sweet bird, lovely colours, sharp, perfect HA and a nice contrasting BG. Well processed. I might clone out the very small catch light below the main one, and possibly tame the highlights on the top part of the perch. TFS

love those iridescent colors and BG. simple perch, excellent HA. sharp bit a bit over sharpened on my screen as it is showing jagged artifacts, would back off if mine

The look-back head angle and the wonderful detail on the back and the wings make this one a winner.

Thanks Arash - I think that my update to ACR is adding in some sharpening. Looks good until I import into PS. Then a little crispy as you state.
