That is my kind of hummingbird image: simple perch, killer background, lovely pose, perfect framing, and no flash.

Why such a high shutter speed? If it were mine, I would clean up the tip of the bill.

Was the bird coming to a feeder?

Such a beauty Kurt... I would wish for a perch that was more in focus rather than extended away. If this was a set up then a more interesting perch would be killer. Super nice IQ

Those colors on the bird are gorgeous. Perfect pose and background.

Kurt, you're blessed with some great areas for hummers there. This is one of the nicest I've seen of yours.

Stunning colors, sharpened perfectly to my eyes and the clean bkg makes everything really snap.

Do wish we had the bottom of the perch IF, but man sign me up for a shot like this!!!

    Beautiful hummer and beautiful image.
Agree with all the positives and agree with the perch comments but that is a very minor issue for me.
    IQ and detail rocks!
Light and color palette are so nice,
    Gail

This is looking real good Kurt....Loving the contrasty colours and details on the bird...The BG colours perfect....It's the perch that's bugging me a wee bit....I wished it was in better focus and a different angle....I like your chosen crop...
