Our plover pair have returned to the same beach. This is their 7th or 8th year nesting on this beach.
    Taken 15 minutes after sunrise.
    R5, 600mm v.3 1.4 x v.3
Crop to 60% FF. Raised exposure by 0.2.
I usually use LR to process but the color balance was off with LR so used DPP to process image. Amazing how much better the colors are with DPP sometimes.

Nothing added or cloned. Dodged some of the darker rocks.

just wonderful; sharp, details, and the beach with colored stones mimics the plover's colors. I could see another version where the bottom is cropped bout an inch.

Saw it on FB, but couldn't comment. I knew immediately though that the light was all world and even better seeing it full screen.

Gorgeous contrast and the whites look super. I really like the different textures and colors from the rocks and that focal plane is crazy thin! Nice job getting down and dirty.

    Composition rocks (pun intended).

    Any noise reduction?

Very snazzy frame. Love the light on this little plover. The low angle is bang on.

    Hi Brian,
Thanks for commenting. I used Topaz low light selectively on the BG at noise reduction 5 with sharpening at 3. I didn't touch the bird,

Sweet light and male bird. I like that we have a decent look at the feet. A n inch or two higher would have lessened the impact of the foreground a bit ... The problematic spot is where the foreground rock blocks our view of the rock behind the plover's feet ... FWIW :)

Sweet frame. Beautiful light, pose, POV. I like the OOF pebbles in FG and BG, especially because of their colors. Don't touch a thing. Glad these sweet little endangered shorebirds keep returning to your beach.
