    This is my first post in the wildlife forum. I usually post in the bird forums. I captured this image at Big Meadows in the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia last month.

    Canon EOS-1D Mark III, 100-400mm at 400mm handheld, ISO 500, 1/250, f/5.6, +2 exp comp, Av mode.
    Levels, curves and selective sharpening in CS3.

    I love the light on the cute subject here. You gave the fawn enough room to show some habitat. One could argue that the right side of the frame could be cropped a bit but I think its fine as is.

    Looks like nice soft light you had to work with. Nice composition also. Keep posting, as BPN says "It Ain't Just Birds".

    Nice pose and habitat inclusion. Must be a young one as I can still see a bit of blue in the eye.
