Nicely lit closeup preening pose. The head angle allows this very tight crop to work for me. Normally, a bit more room would be needed, and I might try a version with 5-10% more on the top and sides if you have it, but works as is.
Effective DOF, with good feather detail.
A super image Joe, cracking depth of detail & clarity, nice control of Contrast too.
A slight 'S' Midtone curve just adds a subtle punch, whether you apply it to the whole image or just the subject is a matter of personal taste. Nice one.

I like the crop choice here. I think it works even though it is a bit tight. I like the curve in the head pose, the detail and exposure are top notch. Nice job!
