    Default Puffin in the rain

Moving on to puffin images from Iceland.
I have 1000's of flight images and as I went through some of them today I kept coming back to this simple image of a puffin at rest.
    Canon 1 Dx 1, 600mm v3 and 1.4 x v.3
Crop to 70% FF. Nothing added or cloned.
    ISO 1600 SS 1/1600 F 6.3
The dreaded green BG posterization has occurred with downsizing for the web but file is good at full res.
Comments and critiques always appreciated and learned from with thanks,
    Gail

Lovely serene Puffin shot, against beautiful green backdrop. The posterization doesn't look bothersome on my screen. Nicely composed in the frame.

    Gail:

Vey well composed shot, head angle works well with crop. The rain adds a different touch. Just need one big drop splashing off the top if his bill!

I do see the posterization, esp. to the right of your name, but not distracting really, clone brush and be gone!

It is interesting how sometimes the less dynamic shots can be more evocative.

    Cheers

Lovely as is and mood captured. I like the setting and the rain is certainly another layer of texture. I like how quickly the weather changes in a day while in Iceland. very nice image.

A nice simple image. I like it. The rock perch is nice. Same for the background.
