Here's another one from my Gannet collection taken recently. I know it's tight in the frame, but I'm happy with it...except I'd like more room on the left. I thought I was quite proficient in Photoshop, but I tried a number of ways to add canvas and add water to the left so that the wing tip was not so tight in the frame, but I didn't like the result. feel free to have a go if you like. I have other dive shots where this is not an issue, but I like the pose here.
Edit: Title incorrect, as it's not a dive.

This is one of those "if only" shots!
If only the wingtips had not been out of the frame.
All else looks good.
Sharp, whites look good and I like the water droplets on the near wing.
Some might prefer the head to have cleared the wing but I like this as is,

Paul, at first glance (and last glance) I feel like you really captured the subject very well. Presents great!
There are the noted shortcomings and I think they just prevented this from being "the" shot. That said, lots of great pieces here including the lighting and details. If the far wing continued the symmetry downward it would be awesome.
AFA the upper wing, did you try adding canvas left with the anchor point being right, then use the magic wand to select the whole left rectangle, then Edit --> Content aware fill there?
Thanks so much Gail, Andreas and Brian. I really appreciate the feedback.
Brian, I tried a number of things to "fix" the issue, including content aware, but will give it another go. Not sure what you mean here: "anchor point being right"?
Paul, YES! I think it works very nicely. Aside from a couple very small circle/clone looking marks in the very ULC near the tips I don't think anyone could ever tell.
