    This roller had a favorite place to perch and when other rollers were flying over it was calling (despite the big beetle in the bill) and moving its head upwards… beautiful view.
    All critiques and comments are welcome.

    40D, 300 f4 IS + tc1.4x, ISO 400, f7.1, 1/800, monopod, 7.30 h in the morning

    Beautiful bird, great details and the snack adds to it. I might blur the BG a bit more and remove the bright patch next to its tail. Keep them coming!

    I don't mind the BG as is, but I would remove that bright patch next to the tail - as well as the bright circle above that. Great pose, and the beetle is a nice touch! Could use a touch more room above.

    The pose of the bird with the beetle on the bill and facing towards the top of the frame is very nice (I wonder about a vertical crop but not sure). I would love to see a more blurred BG but the one you have here is nice enough. I agree with Daniel and Axel about trying to clone out the distracting white areas. A very nice image all around

    Such a beautiful pose. The beetle adds to it!
    Another vote for vertical crop.
