    Default Another Whimbrel

This might be the lowest angle I've ever achieved on a bird - he looks gigantic! Got soaked, but it was worth it....

Splendid Dorian, so many elements that add up to a top shot. Light, HA, lifted foot, reflection, diffused BG and of course viewpoint as low as you could go without digging a hole.

    10/10 from me Dorian.

Checks all the boxes - gorgeous light and a prime angle, slight head turn, sharp across the whole focal plane, slight head turn and even the raised foot.

Absolutely beautiful pastel blue palette. You rocked this one!

Love this one too but liked the first one where the white of the wave is more subdued.

ps: a question you missed on your scoter head shot: Was the bird out of the water or swimming? I would assume the former.

Nice to see the bird facing the opposite way. I like the pose with the raised foot. Any lower you would have to dig a hole.
