    Default Song Sparrow Singing

    Attached Images Attached Images

I made this image in Bear River Migratory Refuge.
I have been wanting to go to Refuge early morning. Most of my trips so far have been to reach mid-day and then spend the evening photographing birds.
During this trip, I found that morning lighting is better in Bear River Refuge than late evening light due to the position on mountains relative to Auto Car loop.

This image was made from Car with Bean Bag.
I have made multiple trips and found some good shots with Song Sparrows. I will post them soon.

Krishna, the canvas is pleasing to the eye. Beautiful, even light and the calling pose brings it up. Subject is nicely processed and love the way it's grabbing the grass.

I'm indifferent about the extra foliage on the right. Perhaps you could look at a vertical version too. Is that a stray feather hanging down under the rump?

How come the D850 instead of Z7ii?

Thanks for the comments Brian. Yes it is a stray feather.

    I never purchased Z7ii. I have Z6ii.

    Hi Krishna ....
Sweet light and the singing pose is adding so much .
I do like the overall design as presented .... love the warm colors .
Maybe adding some light to that eye ... to see some life in it ??? But not sure if this will look natural ... matter of taste and a question of finesse while processing .
Just for my interest , what is this "NIK 25-25 " good for ??

    Cool image , TFS Andreas

Fantastic, even better than the RWBL from the other day. Colors are outstanding. Sining pose is perfect. Exposure and details spot on. I like the foliage on the right. It looks authentic.

    Nik 25-25

Nik filters - Color Efex Pro ( details extractor and tonal contrast at 25% opacity)

In some cases I like to use this filter on the bird to show more feather details.

DATPA. This one is superb. But it would have been much better had you pointed the lens more to the left ... As presented, the bird is too centered. Re-composing left so that there was just an inch from the foliage to the frame edge would have included more of the foliage on the right and that would have resulted in better compositional balance.
