    John, nice cloudy light shot. Lots of depth in focus for f5.6.

    Bird is nicely processed. I could see a version with the subject a bit more in frame too.

    Lovely flat light view. Frame has a nice mood. Bird really cracks on the water, and we get some serious detail in the wings. You did as well as you could with SS of 1/1600. If you boosted yellow bill I might back off a bit. If not, you got a really good looking example!

    This is one of your best ever. The top shot pose is superb. A bit more room behind the bird would not hurt. Could you please post a JPEG showing the full frame original?
