Default Canyon Wren, in this time

Same bird as in last post but 30 mins later, after the sun had broken through the clouds.

I was unable to reach this rock to remove several poops, so I had to cheat and do it in the computer.

I think this saturated view is a nice complement to the flat light frame from the other day.

Lovely pose and setting. Killer background. Nice detail on the bird. You should have entered it for the theme.

Perch and bird both golden! And the singing pose is fantastic.

Thanks, Paul! I went with 1/3200 for several reasons:

    1) I had the light for it, even at f/7.1
    2) I'm alway looking for a shutter faster than 1/2500, particularly when handholding my heavy-*** 600/DX2.
    3) Wrens have very complex vocalizations, and their beaks move really fast when they sing

    Hope that does it

Dorian, this one bumps up a notch for me; not that the other didn't rock as well (no pun).

Full, rich light, buckets of detail and the sweet calling pose (even a little tongue) are super. Processed very nicely.

Crazy amount of textures in the granite. Nice find, nice execution!
